Our UAV Intro Course (for ages 13-17) is a fun-filled half-day adventure designed to introduce young learners to the exciting world of unmanned aerial vehicles (UAVs). This course offers easy-to-understand instruction and hands-on activities that cater to the imaginations and capabilities of children aged 13 to 17. Key Activities Include: Interactive Learning: We kick off the day with a fun and engaging introduction to drones, explaining what they are and what they can do. Our friendly instructors will discuss the day's activities and what our young pilots can look forward to learning. Kid-Friendly Instruction: Our instructors will cover basic flight planning and safety rules in a simple, approachable way. Kids will learn about different parts of a drone and how to handle them safely. Hands-On Flight: Under close supervision, children will participate in flying exercises using drones suitable for their age. These activities are designed to be safe, educational, and most of all, fun, ensuring that they apply what they’ve learned in a controlled environment. Introduction to Drone Safety: We’ll introduce basic concepts of FAA rules and why they’re important for flying drones safely, tailored to be understandable for younger audiences. Support from Instructors: Our instructors will be available throughout the day to help and ensure each child understands and enjoys their experience. This course is structured to ensure maximum engagement and learning in a half-day, giving young enthusiasts a memorable introduction to the world of UAVs without overwhelming them.
